Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said on Tuesday that the relations between Turkey and Syria were on perfect level in every area.
"We have a free trade agreement. We lifted visa. Relations are on very good level. Now, our businessmen should set up a close dialogue," said Simsek who visited Aleppo's Governor Ahmad Mansoura.
There is the required political will to further develop the relations, he added.
Simsek said that required conditions were met for Turkish and Syrian businessmen to unite, create employment, make more investment and produce more business volume.
He said that Syria and Turkey were the two important actors to make the region a place of peace, stability and prosperity.
A decision was made to establish a Turkey-Syria joint bank, said Simsek, and expressed hope that they would have results in the next period.
Noting that Turkey was on the 7th rank in the aspect of the number of tourists in world tourism league, Simsek said that Turkey and Syria could make cooperation and build joint facilities in tourism.
Meanwhile, Aleppo's governor said that the trade volume between Turkey and Syria, which was 2 billion USD, was low, adding that this figure could be increased to 5 billion USD in coming years.
There were 54 Turkish investments in Aleppo Organized Industrial Zone, said Mansoura, adding that they wanted investments to increase.
