Turkey will send 9 tons of humanitarian assistance to Kyrgyzstan aiming to help treatment of people injured in incidents in this country the previous months.

Mehmet Ersoy, Director of Prime Ministry Disaster & Emergency Management Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, said the assistance they were planning to send would include medicine and medical equipment.

Ersoy said the cargo plane belonging to General Staff would depart from Turkey on August 6, 2010.

In clashes in south of Kyrgyzstan last month, 351 people were killed and more than 2,000 were injured. During the clashes, around 2,500 homes, businesses and public institutions were destroyed.
