Turkey's 'Balkan Express' to compete 50-day tour on Fri


"Balkan Express" will return to Turkey on Friday concluding a 50-day tour of Balkan countries aiming at boosting friendship between Turkey and Balkan countries.

Turkish State Railways (TCDD) released a statement and said the train toured Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia and Greece within the scope of "Balkan Express" project prepared with the cooperation of state-run Turkish Radio and Television.

A welcoming ceremony will be organized in Istanbul's Sirkeci Train Station.

The train, which set off on June 29, held various events in cities within the scope of the tour.

Journalists, authors, artists, scientists, administrators and politicians are the guests of the "Balkan Express".
