Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was in Hungary on Wednesday attending a Visegard Group meeting with Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia.

The Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu attended on Wednesday the Visegard Group meeting held in Hungary's capital of Budapest.

The Visegrad Group is known as a formation which contributes to regional stability and welfare and strengthening the cooperation between the countries in the region.

Foreign ministers discussed energy, transportation and democratic developments with the Visegard Group at the meeting, which was closed to press.

The Visegrad Group, consisting of four important countries of Central Europe; Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia is known as a formation which contributes to regional stability and welfare and strengthening the cooperation between the countries in the region.   

Turkey was invited for the first time to the Visegrad Group meeting, where foreign ministers expressed their pleasure with the attendance of Turkey. 

At the gathering, Turkish FM Davutoglu offered a similiar meeting to be held in Turkey and emphasized Turkey's geographic position in terms of strategic integrity with Visegrad.
