Turkish President Abdullah Gul will visit Turkmenistan between May 29 and 31, 2013.
Turkish Presidency Press Center said in a statement on Tuesday that Gul will travel to Turkmenistan upon an invitation by Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow between May 29 and 31, 2013.
The statement reminded, Turkey was one of the first countries which recognized Turkmenistan's independence in 1991 and opened an embassy in Ashgabat.
It was added in the statement that sorority and friendship between the two countries were becoming much stronger every other day with the contributions of meetings and visits. In the past five years, Turkish president visited Turkmenistan for four times and Turkmen president had travelled to Turkey for five times, said the statement.
It was noted, during Gul's visit in Turkmenistan, he would be decorated with state medal as well as provided with honorary PhD of Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management (TSIEM).
