Turkish aid ship arrives in Somalia

A Turkish aid ship arrived in famine-stricken Somalia on Monday.

A Turkish ship named "Burak A" anchored at the Mogadishu port at the end of its 22 days of journey on Monday within the framework of Turkey's ongoing efforts to help to famine and drought-stricken Somalia.

The ship is carrying 5,000 tons of food to Somalia as well as ambulances, generators, tents, medicines and cleaning materials.

The aid will be carried to Turkish Red Crescent's depot at Mogadishu port.
