A Turkish aid train that IHH organized for flood-hit Pakistan has departed on Friday from Istanbul to Pakistan.

A ceremony has been held for the departure of the train, which Pakistan's Consul General in Istanbul Dr.Yusuf Cuneyt also attended.

The train, that carries 450 tons of emergency supplies to Pakistan, has left Haydarpasa Train Station in Istanbul and is expected to reach to Pakistan via Iran in 13 days.

The train consist of durable food, baby food, medicines and medical supplies, cleaning materials, textiles, footwear, construction materials, tents, blankets and prefabricated homes.

IHH or the Foundation For Human Rights And Freedoms And Humanitarian Relief says, the second IHH team arrived in Pakistan and moved to the flood zone while first team stays in Islamabad to organize relief efforts. A soup kitchen has been established in Islamabad and five thousand people are being delivered hot meal every day.

IHH will also send cargo planes to Pakistan next week for the relief effort.

An aid ship "Gazze" that Israel attacked to prevent international activists from breaking Gaza siege, is docked in port, waiting for UN officials to complete its examination and is expected to set sail in the coming days.
