A Turkish businessman who was earlier arrested along with a top aide to former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak by Spain's National Court was released on bail on Wednesday.
The national court in Madrid released Turkish businessman Ali Evsen who were arrested in Madrid in June along with Hussein Salem, a top aide to Mubarak, and his son Khaled Salem on charges of money laundering.
The court reduced the bail set at 18 million euro for Evsen to 5 million. Evsen was released after paying 5 million euro.
Hussein Salem is a businessman accused of squandering Egyptian public funds by selling gas to Israel below market prices.
