Turkish capital to send aid to flood-hit Pakistan

Greater Municipality of Turkish capital, Ankara will send aid to flood-hit Pakistan.

A statement by the municipality said on Friday that it would send 75 tons of foodstuff and cleaning supplies to Pakistan, noting that four mobile bread bakeries would also be sent to this country.

Ankara Mayor Melih Gokcek said that they would also launch an aid campaign for Pakistan in Ankara.

Floods, caused by monsoon rains, have killed more than 1,600 people in the last couple of weeks and left 20 million Pakistanis homeless.
