Turkish charity to build orphanage in besieged Gaza

Turkish Cansuyu Relief and Solidarity Association will build an orphanage in Jabalia city in Gaza Strip.

Foundation of the orphanage was laid with a ceremony on Friday.

The Chairman of the association Mustafa Koylu said that Cansuyu had been helping people in Gaza since Israel's embargo began, adding that they distributed food and clothes to poor families.

Noting that many people lost their houses and many children lost their parents during Israeli bombing on Gaza two years ago, Koylu said that Cansuyu would build an orphanage in the city. He added that the children would not stay in the center, noting that they would be educated and rehabilitated in the orphanage.

Koylu said that the orphanage would cost 1.1 million USD, and serve 600 orphans.
