Turkish company to build new Croatia airport terminal

Turkey's leading airport operator TAV announced Wednesday work has started on the construction of a new terminal at Zagreb International Airport.

According to a statement by TAV Holding, the project comprises a total investment of 331 million euro, 243 million euro for the design and construction of the new terminal and 88 million euro for the maintenance of the airport infrastructure.

The new terminal will enable Zagreb International Airport to increase its passenger turnover from current level of two million to eight million, when the terminal is completed in 2016.

TAV operates two of Turkey's busiest airports; Istanbul's Ataturk and Ankara's Esenboga,TAV operates airports in five countries including Saudi Arabia, Georgia, Tunisia, Macedonia and Latvia.
