Turkish Erdogan to meet Obama in New York on Tuesday

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet U.S. President Barack Obama in New York on Tuesday.

The meeting will take place at 11:30 p.m. Turkish local time in New York where Erdogan will be visiting to attend the 66th term meetings of the United Nations General Assembly.

Erdogan will also attend several other meetings in the UN on Tuesday.

UN General Assembly meetings will take place between September 21 and 23 as well as on September 26 and 27.

Heads of state and government or high-level officials of 193 countries will each deliver speeches in the general assembly.

The topics such as Palestine's initiative for recognition by UN as a state and a member, situation in Libya and Syria, counter-terrorism on global scale, Cyprus talks, "Alliance of Civilizations", prevention of proliferation of nuclear weapons, mediation, hunger in Somalia and Africa, desertification and cooperation in Asia will be discussed in UN meetings.
