Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and a delegation from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) are in Myanmar to hold talks with local authorities.
Davutoglu met with Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu in Myanmar's capital Naypyidaw on Thursday.
Davutoglu and Ihsanoglu discussed the visit of the OIC-organized "Contact Group on Rohingya" and the messages to be conveyed to Myanmar authorities, sources said.
After this, the OIC group held a cooperation meeting, joined by top officials representing Indonesia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh.
The delegation is expected to come together with Myanmar Vice President Sai Mauk Kham and the Chairman of the Central Committee for Rakhine State Peace, Stability and Development Implementation.
Davutoglu is also expected meet his counterpart Wunna Maung Lwin.
