Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Friday that he was inviting business world to assist initiatives for Africa especially for Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
Davutoglu received Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) Chairman Murat Yalcintas and his delegation at the ministry in Ankara.
Davutoglu thanked ITO for its contributions to the campaign conducted by institutions for hunger problem in Africa.
"I am inviting the business world to assist initiatives for Africa especially for Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia," he said.
Davutoglu recalled that he had a meeting with Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and Turkey called on OIC to hold an extraordinary meeting for the hunger problem in Africa. The meeting could be held in Istanbul or Jeddah in the coming weeks, he said.
