Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that 2012 would be a Balkans Peace Year.
Giving details about the peace year project during his visit to Kosovo on Saturday, Davutoglu said that he discussed the project with Serbian President Boris Tadic previously, and recalled that 2012 would be the 100th year of Balkan Wars.
Thus, we are planning to hold many activities with participation of all Balkans countries under the title 'from Balkan wars to Balkans peace', said Davutoglu.
Here Turkey's message is very obvious; it is necessary to build friendship bridges among peoples and countries which suffered pains, he added.
It is also important to stress this matter in Kosovo, said Davutoglu, adding that Turkey would host many activities next year within that scope.
