Turkish forestry minister receives Palestinian ambassador in Ankara

Turkish Forestry and Water Works Minister Veysel Eroglu on Thursday received Palestine's Ambassador in Ankara Nabil Maarouf.

Speaking at the meeting, Eroglu said Turkey extended support to Palestine in all areas, adding that upgrading of Palestine's UN status to "non-member observer state" constituted a major step.

Eroglu said a cooperation agreement in forestry was being drafted and it was expected to penned during an upcoming visit of Palestine's agriculture minister.

Maarouf, on his part, thanked Eroglu for Turkey's support to Palestine, saying Palestinian agriculture minister was expected to meet with the Turkish forestry minister as well as his Turkish counterpart.
