After the meeting of the Council of Ministers, Government Spokesman and Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said regarding the recent developments in Libya that Gadhafi must surrender for a successful transition process in the country.

Taking necessary steps was of great importance for a peaceful process and constitutional democracy, he said. "Turkey always highlighted that preservation of unity and sovereignty is of great importance at every stage of political transformation process in Libya," he said.
Turkey fully believed that the Libyan Interim Transitional National Council headed by Mustafa Abdul Jalil would complete the process successfully, he said.
