Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan on Tuesday said that Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan and he discussed the progress payments for Turkish contractors and compensation for their losses during the war in Tripoli.
Speaking to the press after his meeting with Zeidan, Minister Caglayan indicated that in talks with Libyan ministers, "we will seek a different method for the progress payments and compensation to the Turkish contractors."
"Turkey always favors the unity in Libya as a brotherly and friendly country. Our contractors were the last group of people to leave Libya and they became the first ones to return for the reconstruction of Libya," Caglayan underlined.
Prime Minister Zeidan, in his part, said that they considered Turkey as a promising partner for the future.
"We want Turkey to take note of this fact. We need a little bit of patience. We will fulfill our promises," Zeidan also said.
