Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag and Development Minister Cevdet Yilmaz inaugurated genetic resources center in Khartoum, Sudan on Sunday.
Sudan-Turkey Genetic Resources & Sperm Production Center was established by Turkish International Cooperation Agency (TIKA).
Sudanese Assistant President Nafie Ali Nafie and TIKA Chairman Serdar Cam also attended the inauguration ceremony.
Bozdag said that food and agriculture were now more strategic than oil and other mines in the world, adding that many countries were working on increasing production in food and agriculture.
Stressing the importance of Turkish-Sudanese relations, Bozdag said that the two countries would be more successful as cooperation increased.
The center targets to protect animal races, animal breeding, production and struggle against animal diseases. Turkish experts will give training about animal breeding at the center.Last Mod: 24 Şubat 2013, 11:25
