A delegation of Turkish lawmakers are set to travel to Washington, D.C. next to participate in a meeting of the Turkey-United States Friendship Group.

A delegation of Turkish lawmakers are set to travel to Washington, D.C. next Monday to participate in a meeting of the Turkey-United States Friendship Group.

The Turkish lawmakers, headed by AK Party deputy Suat Kinikoglu, will meet with several U.S. House representatives including Bill Delahunt, Keith Allison, Steve Cohen, Virginia Foxx, Kay Granger, Doug Lamborn, Mike McMahon, as well as Robert Wexler, former head of the friendship group.

The Turkish delegation is also scheduled to meet Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, the senior director for European affairs at the National Security Council, European Union Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton and Richard Armitage, president of the Turkish-American Council as well as Abdullah Akyuz, TUSIAD's Washington representative.
