Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality will collect garbage, and paint buildings in the Mogadishu, Somalia in order to erase traces of civil war.
Municipal teams will also produce bread in mobile bakeries to be set up in the Somali capital in order to erase the traces that have cause great agonies in the country.
"There is garbage in some areas of Mogadishu that has not been collected for 20 years," an adviser of the municipality, told AA correspondent on Friday.
Ismail Hakki Turunc said cities were full of garbage and therefore, the municipality would collect garbage with work machines it brought from Turkey and with the help of local personnel.
Turunc said the municipality would produce bread for Somali people in mobile bakeries, and was planning to construct buildings in the city.
"We will solve electricity and water problems in schools, mosques and other official buildings with technicians we will bring from Turkey," he said.
Turunc said municipal teams would reach Somalia within 20 days, and machines would be dispatched.
The municipality was planning to work with almost 300 people in Somalia, Turunc also said.
