Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has highlighted importance of the general election in Egypt scheduled for November 2011, adding, "I believe that a democratic parliamentary system will emerge with people's will.

The transition process may naturally have some difficulties. You need to be patient. You will reach prosperity in the end."

Erdogan inaugurated the new building of the Yunus Emre Culture Center in Cairo as part of his visit to Egypt.

"We have gathered here on a meaningful day. I believe that opening of the Yunus Emre Culture Center will carry Turkey-Egypt relations to a further level. The center is of great importance in terms of setting up a different communication between the two countries," he said at the opening.

Later, Erdogan received the Youth of Tahrir at the Yunus Emre Culture Center.

"You have led a step on January 23 which changed the course of the time. Your move reminded us Sultan Mehmed II the Conqueror who started a new era after conquering Istanbul in 1453. You have ended a dark era. We hope that a bright era will begin. Therefore, general election in November 2011 is of vital importance. You will be the keystones of the democracy in the election. I believe that a democratic parliamentary system will emerge with people's will. The transition process may naturally have some difficulties. You need to be patient. You will reach prosperity in the end," he added.
