Turkish President Abdullah Gul travelled to Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday to attend the 2nd Summit meeting of Cooperation Council of Turkic States in Bishkek.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and National Education Minister Omer Dincer are accompanying President Gul.
Following the summit, Gul will also hold official talks in the country.
Gul said that he hoped that multi-party parliamentary system in Kyrgyzstan would prove itself successfully.
"It is a very important development for Asia," Gul said.
President Gul said that during his visit to Kyrgyzstan, he would hold talks on cooperation in the areas of education, science and culture. Some agreements would also be signed during the summit, he said.
