Turkish Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin arrived in Geneva, Switzerland to attend the 3rd World Parliament Speakers' Conference.

Sahin will deliver a speech during the conference.

The conference will take place from July 19 to 21 on the premises of the United Nations Office.

The broad theme for the 2010 conference is "Parliaments in a World of Crisis:

Securing Global Democratic Accountability of the Common Good".

The World Conference of Speakers of Parliament is a global summit focusing on democracy, the role of legislative institutions and their relationship with the United Nations.

The two previous conferences were held in New York in 2000 and 2005.
