Turkish State Minister for foreign trade Zafer Caglayan will travel to United States on a one-week formal visit.
A large group of Turkish business delegation, led by Caglayan, will tour Illinois, California, Texas and Georgia during the visit from July 17 and 23.
Turkish delegation will meet with top executives of several giant American companies and heads of Turkish organizations and Turkish companies operating in United States.
During these meetings, Caglayan will discuss ways to boost trade ties between the two countries and tell them about advantages and investment opportunities that Turkey offers, Caglayan's office said in a statement.
Trade volume between Turkey and United States was 11.8 billion USD in 2009 after a 27.5 percent decline from a year earlier.
Last year, Turkey's exports to United States fell 1 billion USD to 3.2 billion, an amount equal to only 0.02 percent of total U.S. imports.
In the first five months of 2010, exports to United States rose 22 percent year-on-year to reach 1.4 billion USD. Imports also climbed 30 percent to 4.2 percent in this period.
