Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held a phone call with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres on Tuesday.
According to information received from diplomatic sources that upon Guterres' demand, they discussed what kind of steps are needed for the situation in Syria in the coming period.
Guterres delivered his appreciation over Turkey's relief works for Syrian citizens and added that as Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, they are ready to help Turkey in any way.
Guterres stated that they are aware of the attitude of international community as they are not really supporting Turkey and noted that in the coming term, they will make efforts for international community to give support to Turkey.
Moreover, Guterres expressed that in order to hold talks with Turkish officials, he would like to visit Turkey in March.
Furthermore, Davutoglu said that the humanitarian situation was getting worse everyday in Syria, negatively affecting the neighbouring countries.
