The CEOs of leading Brazilian companies are visiting Istanbul within the framework of a five-day program to promote Turkey.

Turkish Airlines (THY), Ciragan Palace Kempinski and Retur Tourism and Publication Corporation/Turquia.com are hosting the CEOs in Istanbul.

The Brazilian CEOs visit Istanbul's historical, touristic and natural attractions.

THY's director in Brazil said the national air carrier was planning raise flights to Sao Paulo in January.

"We will raise our flights to four, and send larger planes to this country," director Atagun Kutluyuksel told AA correspondent.

Kutluyuksel said THY aimed to operate flights to Sao Paulo every day, and hoped to achieve this goal within two or three years.

THY launched flights to Sao Paulo three times a week on April 5, 2009 within the framework of its South American project. Brazilians constitute 70 percent of passengers of Brazil-Turkey flights, whereas 10 percent of passengers are Turks. 20 percent are transit passengers from other countries.
