C.Bank says expects Turkey's year-end inflation 7.50 pc

Turkey's Central Bank expects the country's year-end inflation to be 7.50 percent.

CB announced on Tuesday the results of first-term survey of expectation of September.

The bank increased the year-end inflation to 7.50 percent. It was 7.34 percent in the second-term survey of August.

Central Bank increased consumer price index of the current month to 0.69 percent in the first-term survey of September. It was 0.23 in the second-term survey of August.

According to the survey of expectation, consumer price index expectation of next month rose to 1.01 percent.

The survey said that expectation for U.S. dollar rate at the end of current month did not change and remained at 1.5100 TL. The bank expected U.S. dollar rate to be 1.5400 TL by the end of the year.

The bank also expects current account deficit for the current year to grow to 33.7 billion U.S. dollars. The expectation was 32.9 billion U.S. dollars in the second-term survey of August.

GDP growth rate for the current year is expected to remain at 5.5 percent as it was in the previous survey.

The aim of the survey is to find out the expectations of experts and decision makers from the financial and real sectors and professionals, pertaining to consumer price (CPI) inflation, interest rates, exchange rate, current account balance and GNP growth rate.

The survey is conducted twice a month, in the first and third weeks of every month.
