Consumer confidence index (CCI) has increased by 4.8 points in October 2013 compared to the previous month.

Consumer confidence index (CCI) in Turkey increased by 4.8 points in October 2013 compared to September 2013.

The Consumer Confidence Index calculated from the results of the Consumer Tendecy Survey carried out in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey increased by 4.8 percent in October compared to the previous month; while the index was 72.1 in September, it rose to 75.5 in October.

The index of probability of saving in the next 12 months increased by 20.9 percent compared to the previous month and rose from 20.1 in September to 24.3 in October.

This increase shows that the possibility of saving of consumers in the next 12 months period increased compared to the previous month.

General economic situation expectation increased by 6 percent

The index of general economic situation expectation in the next 12 months which was 95.8 in September increased by 6 percent compared to the previous month and became 101.6 in October. This increase shows that number of consumers expected a better general economic situation in the next 12 months increased compared to the previous month.

Number of people unemployed expectation increased by 2.2 percent

The index of expectation for the number of unemployed persons in the next 12 months which was 82.2 in September increased by 2.2 percent compared to the previous month and rose to 84 in October. This growth stemmed from the decrease in the ratio of people expecting an increase in the number of unemployed persons.
