Final bargaining for Turkey's TEDAS tender begins in Ankara

The final bargaining for sale of 100 percent stake of the Turkish Electricity Distribution Corporation (TEDAS) in the electricity distribution company of Bogazici has begun in Ankara.

Ten firms are participating in the tender presided by Privatization Administration Board Deputy Chairman Ahmet Aksu.

The bidding companies are as follows:

1- Cengiz Elektrik Toptan Satis Corp.
2- Kolin Insaat Turizm Sanayi ve Ticaret Corp.
3- Park Holding Corp.
4- Limak Insaat Sanayi ve Ticaret Corp.
5- Enerjisa Elektrik Dagitim Corp.
6- The joint venture of Eti Gumus Corp. & Sogutsen Seramik Sanayi Insaat Madencilik Ithalat Ihracat Corp.
7- The joint venture of Is-Kaya Inşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret & MMEKA Makine Ithalat Pazarlama ve Ticaret Corp.
8- The joint venture of KCETAS-AYEN
9- Aksa Elektrik Perakende Satis Corp.
10- IC Ictas Insaat Sanayi ve Ticaret Corp.

The firms will submit their bids in sealed envelopes in the first round. Later, an auction will take place.

Bogazici Electricity Distribution Corp. is on the European side of Turkey's megacity Istanbul. Number of is subscribers is about 4 million.
