Sheikh Saleh Kamel, head of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA), has said that free movement of people was necessary for free movement of products among Islamic countries.
We are talking about the free movement of businessmen, added Kamel who attended the 15th Board Meeting of ICCIA on Tuesday.
Noting that there was a bad political atmosphere in many Islamic countries, Kamel said that Turkey, on the other hand, developed its economy, increased its national income per capita as well as export rates.
Kamel noted that Justice & Development (AK) Party government in Turkey saw the economy as the pushing force of the country, and that economy and politics were recovered together.
Islamic countries should too attach importance to economy, said Kamel, and added that free movement of people was necessary for free movement of products among Islamic countries.
Besides Turkish Minister of Customs & Trade Hayati Yazici, 50 foreign businessmen from 13 countries also participated in the meeting.
