Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said his country would adapt Euro as the currency possibly by 2020. There is no chance for Hungary to withdraw Forint from circulation and use Euro before 2020, stated Orban on Thursday in Warsaw.
Orban said as they could not foresee the future of Euro, it was still not clear whether adoption of Euro was to the interest of Hungary. He said it was difficult to predict the future of EU.
Orban stated, "What kind of a way would EU follow- Would it grow or become smaller- It's unknown."
He mentioned that the member countries of EU were on the verge of bankruptcy, which could mean the break up of the Union. Criticizing the governmental policies of EU, Orban emphasized that Hungary should utilize its foreign exchange reserves carefully, saying that it was the responsibility of the head of the country's Central Bank.Last Mod: 07 Mart 2013, 16:45
