Calendar adjusted industrial production increased by one percent, while seasonally and calendar adjusted industrial production decreased by 0.6 percent in May 2013 when compared to May 2012.

Turkish Statistical Institute, Turkstat, released Industrial Production Index data for May 2013. 

In the sub sectors of the industry, mining and quarrying decreased 6 percent, manufacturing increased 1.4 percent and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index increased 1.6 percent in May 2013 when compared to May 2012. 

In the sub sectors of the industry, mining and quarrying decreased 4.6 percent, manufacturing decreased 0.5 percent and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index increased 0.5 percent in May 2013 when compared to the previous month. 

According to the Main Industrial Groupings (MIGs) classification, the largest decrease was in capital goods by 3.6 percent in May of 2013, compared to the previous month. 

In the sub sectors of the manufacturing industry, the largest decrease was in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products by 15.8 percent while the largest increase was in manufacture of leather and related products by 9.0 percent.
