Iraq's oil flow decreased by 37 percent in 2013 compared to last year according to data released by Turkey’s Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS).

The corporation's website said Friday that oil flow from the Kirkuk-Yumurtalik pipeline declined to 91.9 million barrels in 2013, from 145.6 million in 2012.

Elsewhere, Oil from Azerbaijan to Turkey via the Baku-Tblisi-Ceyhan pipeline was 249.6 million barrels in 2013, compared to 250.3 million barrels last year.

Turkey stopped importing oil from the Kirkuk-Yumurtalik pipeline at the end of 1990 to conform with United Nations sanctions during the Gulf crisis.

The oil flow restarted in 1996 and Turkey predominantly used this pipeline until the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan was put into service in 2006.
