Istanbul Finance Summit (IFS) will bring together global actors from North America, Europe and East Asia in Istanbul.
The summit will take place from September 28 to 29.
Omer Faruk Unal, president of the Executive board of the Summit, told the A.A on Thursday that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was expected to make opening remarks of the Summit.
"The theme of this year's gathering is 'Towards a Global Recovery: Experience and Challenges'. The summit will also feature a panel session in the ministerial level to be chaired by Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan," he said.
The first summit was held last year with the participation of 560 people from nearly 50 countries.
Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan, Minister for European Affairs Egemen Bagis, Central Bank Governor Erdem Basci, Treasury Undersecretary Ibrahim Canakci and National Bank of Kuwait CEO Ibrahim Dabdoub are among participants of the summit.
IFS is designed to provide an annual platform for state of the art discussions on the current state and future direction of the world finance. The summit is a broad-ranging event, bringing together leading global policy makers, bankers, corporate financiers and regulators, among others.
