The number of one-year work permits given to foreigners, who want to work at a specified place and occupation in Turkey, increased, according to Turkish Labor and Social Security Ministry.
11,512 of the 32,272 foreigners who submitted for work permits in 2012 worked in Istanbul. Antalya city comes the second with 6,706 foreigners, and Ankara third with 5,171.
8,886 of the permitted foreigners were employed mostly in babysitting, nursing and households chores, said sources.
Statistically, 19,546 of those permitted were female and 12,726 male, whereas many of them have high school degrees. In terms of nationality, Georgians ranked the first with 6,434 people, followed by Ukrainians with 2,601.Last Mod: 23 Eylül 2013, 12:41
