Kazakhstan to set up eight new organized industrial zones

Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev took Turkish organized industrial zones as model for his country and gave directives to build similar ones in Kazakhstan.

Nazarbayev, during his visit to Turkey in 2011, visited Ankara and Gebze organized industrial zones, and gave directives to Kazakh Council of Ministers to build eleven similar zones in his country.

Kazakh Industry & New Technologies Minister Aset Isekeshev said that they would establish eleven organized industrial zones in order to develop the economy of the country and also take some measures to encourage modern technology.

The organized industrial zones will be set up in eight regions in Kazakhstan, Isekeshev added.
