Libyan rebel oil firm AGOCO said on Friday it has placed a "small army" at its fields in the country's east to guarantee security and could reach full output within 6 months."Security is ok now. We have a small army in place," an AGOCO official told Reuters.
Libya was producing a total of 1.6 million barrels per day before the war and the country's eastern field of Sarir and Mesla can produce 425,000 bpd, the official said.
He said foreign oil companies were still assessing Libya's security situation and foreign workers have yet to return to the country.
