Turkish exporters and contractors doing business in Iraq will no longer have any problems receiving their payments, according to the Economy Ministry of Turkey.
In a written statement released on Monday, Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci said the Ministry recently received some complaints from Turkish companies having difficulties receiving their payments. This was due to the Iraqi government changing the custom regulations and applying some restrictions on the banking sector.
The Turkish Economy Ministry said that after talking with Iraqi officials, Iraq changed its custom regulations effective from 26 January.
After this date, there should be no problem for Turkish companies to receive their payments.Last Mod: 27 Ocak 2014, 15:04
