The sharp decline in the Turkish stock market continued on Friday, as the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) opened the day almost 2,000 points lower than yesterday's closing, plunging by nearly 3 percent.
ISE National-100 index fell Friday 1,740.28 points over Thursday's closing and opened the session at 57,585.71 points. Stocks lost 2.93 percent in value in the opening.
In the first 15 minutes of the morning session, the decline grew to 2,010.64 points, dragging down the index to 57,127.50 points.
By the end of the first 30 minutes, the index reached 57,497.84 points, marking a 3.08 percent fall in the value of stocks compared to yesterday.
