South Africa union to strike again if no wage raise

South African public sector unions representing more than 1 million workers said on Tuesday they would launch a prolonged mass strike if the government does not meet their wage raise demands by Thursday.

"Failure to meet these demands by 12 August 2010 will result in indefinite labour action by all unions until the demands are met," unions in the country's largest labour confederation COSATU said in a statement.
