Turkey's national airline company launched on Tuesday flights to the Iraqi city of Najaf.
Turkish Airlines (THY) will operate Istanbul-Najaf-Basra-Istanbul flights three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
A round trip from Istanbul to Najaf will cost at least 275 Euro including taxes till August 31.
Najaf is THY's fourth destination in Iraq, following Baghdad, Irbil and Basra.
Based in Istanbul, THY is one of the fastest growing airline companies in the world. A Star Alliance member carrying approximately 25 million passengers a year, THY posted 286 million Turkish lira net profit in 2010.
