Simsek said on Sunday that Turkey not only broke growth record in Europe, but almost broke growth record in the world.

Turkey almost breaks world growth record, Minister says

Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said on Sunday that Turkey not only broke growth record in Europe, but almost broke growth record in the world.

"Turkey is the third country that grows the most in the world in the first quarter," Simsek said while speaking at Justice & Development (AK) Party Provincial Consultation Assembly meeting in Araban town in southern province of Gaziantep.

Simsek said Turkey was at a good level in economic means.

"We have created 1.8 million job opportunities. Turkey breaks record in employment in Europe. Turkey is the third country in the world growing the most in the first quarter,"
Simsek said .

Simsek said the opposition did not see that Turkey was at a good level in economic sense and did not appreciate this level.

"I will travel to Finland next week upon an invitation from Finnish finance minister. Finland is one of the most developed countries in Europe with respect to renovation, technology and innovation. They admire Turkey. I will meet with the industrialists and businessmen of Finland there. They see Turkey's future promising. They want to be a part of this success story in Turkey. They want to make investments in Turkey," he said.
