Turkish Parliament approved a bill that amends a law on capital markets late on Thursday.
During debates in the Parliament, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ali Babacan made a proposal to amend the 7th article of the bill. The proposal stipulated that tenure of the head of the Capital Markets Board (SPK) and their members will end by the time the bill comes into law.
The bill will come into effect after President Abdullah Gül approves the law.
