Turkey's state minister for foreign trade said on Wednesday that Turkey had earned almost 80 billion USD from its exports since the beginning of 2010.
Minister Caglayan said Turkey exported goods worth 79 billion USD between January 1 and September 21.
"Turkey's 12-month exports were around 110.5 billion USD," Caglayan said during his meeting with members of the French business confederation (MEDEF) in Ankara.
Caglayan said Turkey could easily catch up with its medium-term economic program targets.
On Turkey's European Union (EU) membership bid, Caglayan said, "EU full membership is not a sine qua non for Turkey."
The Mouvement des Entreprises de France or MEDEF (Movement of the French Enterprises in English) is the largest union of employers in France.
