Turkey needs to grow 8.2 percent to reach its target to take place among top ten biggest economies of the world by 2023.

Turkey currently is the 16th biggest economy of the world.

According to the mid-term program, Turkey is envisaged to grow 3.5 percent in 2010, four percent in 2011, and five percent in 2012.

Based on IMF's 2010-2011 growth projections, China is predicted to be the biggest economy of the world in 2023, and will be followed by the U.S., India, Japan and Brazil.

If Turkey catches an 8.2 percent growth, its national income will reach 2.6 trillion Turkish Lira. (1 USD = 1.57 TL)
