Turkey's automotive sales were down 34.2 percent year-on-year in January 2012, according to Automotive Distributors' Association.

An association report indicated that Turkey sold only 29,545 cars and light commercial vehicles in January 2012 with a 34.2 percent year-on-year decline.

This number was 44,892 in January 2011.

Moreover, Turkey's car sales were down 29.4 percent to 21,077 in January 2012 and its light commercial vehicle sales dropped 43.6 percent to 8,468.
