Cappadocia, a region famous with its fairy chimneys, received 192,241 local and foreign tourists in July.

According to a statement issued by the Governor's Office of central Anatolia province of Nevsehir on Friday, a total of 192,241 tourists visited Cappadocia in July, 2010. 116,105 of the tourists visiting Cappadocia were foreigners.

The mostly visited site in Nevsehir was the Haci Bektas Veli Museum in the town of Hacibektas. 32,654 tourists visited the museum in July.

In 2009, the region was visited by 173,007 tourists, including 107,446 foreigners.
