Turkey's passenger car and light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales showed a 87.3 percent growth in August 2010 over to the same month of 2009 when compared with EU and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries.
The Association of Turkish Automotive Distributors released the figures based on data by European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
Turkey ranked the third among countries which recorded most increase in auto sales in August. Ireland ranked the first with 109.7 percent increase and Latvia ranked the second with 97.2 percent.
