Total reserve of Turkish Central Bank decreased 1.7 billion USD, while banking sector's credit volume increased 1.5 billion Turkish liras

Total reserve of Turkish Central Bank decreased 1.7 billion USD to 133.5 billion USD as of May 3, the Central Bank of Turkey said on Thursday.      

According to weekly Central Bank figures, Central Bank's gross foreign exchange reserves decreased 14 million USD to 113.3 billion USD as of May 3. Gross foreign reserve was at the level of 113.2 billion USD on April 26.      

Central Bank total reserve decreased to 133.4 billion USD from 135.2 billion USD in a week from April 26 to May 3.      

Gold constituted 20.2 billion USD of the total reserves.

Meanwhile, banking sector's credit volume increased 1.5 billion Turkish liras (TL) in a week to 817.2 billion TL as of May 3, the Turkish Central Bank (CB) announced on Thursday.      

On April 26, the credit volume was 815.7 billion TL, said the Turkish Central Bank.      

Overall credits excluding the financial sector totaled 803.7 billion TL.
